BurcoThe original company, W. H. Dean, was founded in 1895. Originally builders of gas equipment to satisfy the increase in usage of gas for water-heating at the turn of the century, W.H.Dean expanded into electrical products after the Second World War following the merger with an electronics company called Burnley Components (Bur-Co). Together they were to manufacture what was to become commonly known as the "Baby Burco" Washboiler during the 1950's. Growing to a market leader in its field, Burco Dean Appliances were acquired by the Glen Dimplex Group in 1985. Under the guidance of the group, Burco has continued to grow and the acquisition of the 'Cygnet' brand has expanded the range of products further. |
